E-signature services

This page covers signNow, the e-signature offer for this site. Rocket Lawyer also includes e-signature inside a membership. That membership is a different purchase, with its own trial and filing offer, and it is not this offer.

signNow

This ordinary link opens signNow’s pricing page. Able Legal Forms does not earn a commission from it.

What you receive
An account that sends documents for electronic signature, stores them, and keeps an audit trail. signNow’s pricing page describes templates, mobile apps, and a completion certificate. Recipients are sent a document to sign. The page does not say signNow writes a lease, will, or operating agreement for you.
One-time charge or subscription
The pricing page shows subscription plans, not a one-time document fee. Basic is listed at $8 per month in the comparison section; the Basic card also shows $8 and $20 without a second sentence explaining both figures. Business is $15 per month when billed annually, and the card also shows $30. Advanced is shown at $30 when billed annually, and the card also shows $50. Enterprise is shown at $1.50 per signature invite.
Included invites
Annual Basic, Business, and Advanced plans include up to 100 signature invites per account per year. Monthly plans include up to 10 signature invites per account per month. Extra invites continue on a pay-as-you-go charge. Enterprise invite volume is custom. A declined or canceled invite can still count, according to the pricing FAQ.
Trial, renewal, cancellation
The pricing page offers a 7-day trial and does not say whether a card is required to start it. The refund policy says that if you entered a card, the service renews automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel first. Canceling stops the next charge and is not itself a refund. Web subscriptions are canceled in the Admin Console under Manage Subscription. Invoice accounts email support@signnow.com. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are canceled with Apple or Google.
Refunds
A self-serve subscriber can ask support for a refund within 30 days of the first payment or the invoice. signNow says heavy use can be treated as acceptance, and charges for invites past the included 100 are not refundable. Sales-team subscriptions are not refundable. Marketplace and app-store purchases are handled by those stores.
Editing and export
You upload or reuse a document, add fields, and send it. The pricing page says files can be imported from Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, and similar services, and exported after signing. Downloading a stored file is described as an action that does not count as a signature invite.
Attorney access
None is listed. signNow is not a law firm and is not a formation service.
Use this when
The document already exists and you need signatures, reminders, and a record of who signed. Do not buy it as a substitute for a formation filing or for a lawyer’s review.

An electronic signature is not a valid document by itself

Federal law, 15 U.S.C. § 7001, generally says a signature or contract cannot be denied legal effect only because it is electronic. Section 7003 lists exceptions, including some wills and some family-law documents. State law can add its own rules for notarization and witnesses. signNow’s pricing page describes signatures as compliant with the ESIGN Act, UETA, and eIDAS. That description is theirs. It does not make every uploaded file effective.
